After its 1st year anniversary, the Citrus Heights Police Department (CHPD) is established, fully operational, and successfully delivering services beyond expectations. Police Chief Christopher Boyd is building a department that values and rewards employees and delivers premier modern policing to the community through exemplary customer service.
Since our launch date (June 26, 2006), we have accomplished extraordinary things in a brief time period. During the start-up, community expectations were high. And we are pleased to report, the community's expectations have been far exceeded. We have built a police organization with 129 employees hired from over 80 law enforcement agencies throughout California. Under the leadership of Chief Boyd, the passion and expertise of these lateral seasoned employees have brought expertise, professionalism, and enthusiasm to the new department.
