I am enthusiastic and humble to serve as the first Chief for our municipal employee-based police department. Building and leading this department are responsibilities that I take very seriously. I have personally selected police professionals of the highest caliber to build a new police department. I am pleased to report that we have drawn some of the finest talent California law enforcement has to offer.

Our police department is unique. We are building an organization designed to deliver extraordinary service utilizing the talents of extraordinary people. CHPD focuses on innovative and creative ways to police our community. "We've always done it that way" is not part of our culture. We are creating a department that empowers our employees for independent decision-making and proactive problem-solving.
