
The Citrus Heights Police Department was created with three divisions under the Chief of Police. Visit the pages below to learn more about each division function, general structure and duties.
Investigative Services Division -The Investigative Services Division Commander manages one lieutenant and three sergeants who supervise detectives, youth and family services, the street crimes unit, school resource officers, crime scene investigators, property room, and administrative assignments.
Patrol Services Division -The Patrol Services Division Commander oversees patrol services, motors (traffic enforcement), K-9 and bicycle patrol units working under 24-hour operations. The Patrol Division is managed by four lieutenants and nine sergeants. Community services officers augment patrol and field operations.
Support Services Division (Communications Center, Records Unit, Volunteer Program) - The support services manager (civilian position), with support from the communications supervisor and the records supervisor, has responsibility for dispatching (including 9-1-1), records management and the front reception/lobby services. The communications supervisor directs 18 dispatchers who play a critical role linking police staff to citizens. The police records supervisor supervises eight police records assistants. The Police Department also has many community volunteers that serve the city on a daily basis.
