On Monday, June 26, 2006, at 8 a.m., CHPD "went live", our new officers hitting the streets in their state-of-the-art vehicles and the communications center actively taking calls for service.
After 12 months of building the department from the ground up - hiring and training employees, installing state-of-the-art equipment, building a 9-1-1 dispatch/communications center, and equipping the cars and motorcycles, CHPD is proudly serving the residents, visitors and businesses of Citrus Heights.

On-Line Crime Alerts & Mapping Service
The CrimeReports service is free to the public and allows citizens to receive automatic daily, weekly or monthly e-mail alerts if/when crimes occur near their home, office, local school, etc. Citizens can also view reported crime activity on an easy-to-use map for any location within the City of Citrus Heights boundaries. Additionally, filters were developed to allow community members to view incidents within the various Citrus Heights Neighborhood areas.
