Regional Resource Directories
BeehiveSacramento.org is a regional directory with extensive information and resources around the things that matter in people's lives:  money, health, jobs, school, and family.  This regional source has national and local information.  In addition, the Community Services Planning Council has placed its directory on-line. 

You can find information about services provided by various non-profits or public agencies. If you are a service provider, you may also add your organization to this regional directory. Called "Find it Fast" in the region, you can find extensive information here.

The San Juan Unified School District maintains a "Community Resource Directory for Students and Families" which is available for review or download from the District's web site.  This document contains a variety of information that may be helpful.

Volunteer Directory
The City does have volunteer opportunities available within the organization and we can link you to other community organizations.  Check out the City's "Volunteer Opportunities" page.  In addition, below are some additional organizations that regularly use volunteers.

Sunrise Recreation and Park District

The local park district serving Citrus Heights and the surrounding communities of Orangevale and Foothill Farms utilizes volunteers in various ways and may have opportunities available.

Hands-On Sacramento

Hands-On Sacramento is a regional volunteer clearinghouse organization and lists opportunities to volunteer both on a one-time or ongoing basis.

Citrus Heights Collaborative
If you are interested in improving social or human services in Citrus Heights, we welcome your participation in the Citrus Heights Collaborative.  The Collaborative is an informal network of organizations and individuals that was to improve services and opportunities for Citrus Heights residents and improve the quality of life.  You can reach the Collaborative at Collaborative@citrusheights.net.

Since incorporation, there have been a number of studies that have been completed by the City or other local agencies that provide information and assessments on the Citrus Heights community.  Since this information may be helpful to city staff, citizens, other public agencies, or non-profits, we will be posting these reports and making them accessible.
